Monday Movie Rundown

This past week, mostly the week and not the weekend… I took in a few movies while I wrote. I did manage 13k during the week – great, but not the best. I had aimed a little higher, but oh well.

What did I watch? Oh boy, is there a selection.

Burnt – Bradley Cooper. I wanted to like the movie. I did. Daniel Bruel (I think that’s how it’s spelled) was in it and really good. I liked him from Rush. But overall… He came, he cooked, he threw Gordon Ramsey style fits, he acted like a jerk and he went. I never warmed to him and I like Bradley Cooper. Just… meh.

Maleficent – I really liked this one. Beastie. Hee hee. I liked how it wasn’t true to the cartoon, although I do love that cartoon. Angelina Jolie was pretty danged good. Oh and those outfits… holy moly. S&M dreams right there. I do have a soft spot for Sharlto Copley and kind of wished he hadn’t turned out to be such a crazy, but it worked for the movie and if I want to see him as lovably deranged, I’ll watch the A-Team again.

The Crowd Roars – never heard of it? This movie is most likely before ANY of our time, but that’s what makes it good. It’s an old James Cagney and Joan Blondell flick. If you haven’t seen anything by Joan Blondell, you should. This one features racing at Indy. It’s dirty, stinky and there is a lot of passion. Check it out.

She Done Him Wrong – Okay, I have to admit, I’m a sucker for Cary Grant. Pretty much ANY Cary Grant movie will do, but I’ve always liked Mae West. She wasn’t teensy. Wasn’t cutesy. She said what she meant and got what she wanted. I love the comedy in this one, too. They don’t make movies like this one and they should. Just not a remake.

Die Hard – Yep. I have a confession. I’ve NEVER seen this movie. Not until Friday. Never. And I’m not in the ‘this is a Christmas movie’ camp. Sorry. Maybe it takes place over Christmas, but that was about it. Silly. But lots of sh*t got blown up, so whatever. Plus Alan Rickman was delightfully evil. Not one I’d watch again, but that’s just me.

Ghost Rider 2 – Spirit of Vengeance – The only redeeming quality to this movie was Johnny Whitworth. I loved him in Empire Records and plus… look at him! But good gravy. Nic Cage phoned in his performance. The destruction of machinery was laughable. I guess someone wanted to take a decent plot (I’m sure the comic books HAVE to be better than that screenplay) and make tons of cash from it. I sincerely hope they didn’t. It was awful.

Those are my thoughts. What about you? Any good flicks? Recommendations? I’m listening and my watch list is getting LONGER… 🙂

Monday (er… Tuesday) Movie Rundown

It turns out I’m more of a movie buff than I thought. For the what… third or fourth weekend in a row… I’ve taken in more than a couple of movies. Shrug. I write while I’m ‘watching’. More often than not, I’m not looking at THAT screen. Grin.

So I ended up watching X-Men Apocalypse. James McAvoy. Enough said. But seriously and my (one of many) man obsessions aside, there were an awful lot of plot holes. Still, it was good entertainment. We got to see sh!t blow up. It was worth it.

Also saw David and Bathsheba. Still not sure how I feel about Susan Hayward as an actress, but Gregory Peck… with scruff… Holy hotness batman!

I saw Ghost Rider, too. Yanno… I thought I’d hate it. Thought I’d laugh. Eva Mendes didn’t really work for me, but it was like she played an angry caricature. The graphics were a little stale, but it’s an almost 10 yr old movie. Nicholas Cage was silly, but I kind of expected it. I liked Wes Bentley. The man plays deranged scary very well. And Sam Elliott. How can you not like him?

Because I can’t not watch it… X-Men: First Class. Yep, again. James McAvoy and the interplay between him and Michael Fassbender. Very much worth it. Yum!

Lastly… Prince Valiant. This one had a young Robert Wagner and Janet Leigh. The haircut they had on Robert Wagner distracted me. Too silly. I’m sure it had something to do with the time period, but it was just… fake. Oh well.

Maybe I can find another Tyrone Power movie to watch… Hmm…

What’s on the agenda for this weekend? Burnt with Bradley Cooper, and Maleficent with Angelina Jolie. Yep. Eventually I’ll get that movie seen. 🙂

Suggestions always welcome. I’ve put many of the ones before on hold at the library. I’m also dying to see Hail Caesar! If you’ve seen it and liked it or not, let me know.

I’m not a girly man, so when my boyfriend sent me a text saying there was a present at the house and I opened the box to find thid crown…I was shocked. I said, I’m not a girly man. Hell. I’ve got more tattoos than a lot of tattoo artists. What in the name of God did he want me to do with the damn crown?

Garrison walked in the door and rested his hands on his hips. He scowled at me. “You’re not wearing the crown.”

I bit back a groan. Shit. I’m horrible at remembering things and this was a biggie. Our anniversary. Garrison wanted to celebrate the date we’d met.

“I asked you to wear my present and nothing else.” He crooked one eyebrow. “Well?”

Did I mention my boyfriend is a faery? Yeah, he is and his forte is beautiful things. He’d created this crown just for me. I bowed my head. “Yes, sir.” I whipped my shirt up over my head, then shoved my jeans and boxers to the floor. I’d do anything for my faery–even wear his crown on my dick. I draped the ring of jewels on my cock, then stood tall. “I’m ready, sir.”

“Yes you are. Happy anniversary to us.”

I shivered in anticipation. Yes, we were going to have the best anniversary yet…even if I forgot about it for a moment.

Ethan’s about to meet his match in the last person he ever expected.

Ethan Long is a man on a mission—finish well and he gets to keep his ride at Flash Racing. Continue to crash and his racing days will be numbered. Other than being behind the wheel of a race vehicle, this good looking hot shot hasn’t got the first clue how to harness his ego or his talent. Until he locks gazes with Royce. Then all bets are off.

Royce Darden doesn’t play around. His no-nonsense attitude propelled him to the head of the merchandise sales at Flash. He’s good with numbers and facts…and a crop. Few people know about his wilder side and what he needs in bed. He sees the inner submissive in Ethan screaming for a turn. Can Royce convince the young driver that switching gears could be the key to his racing future?

Goodness, I love unconventional snoggin’ posts. 🙂

A knock at the door startled Royce from his thoughts. “Fuck,” he muttered. “Come on in.”

Ethan strode up the stairs, a huge duffle bag in hand and a knapsack slung over his shoulder. “Do you think Collin’s interested in me?”

Royce pressed his lips together. Not the question he’d expected from Ethan.

“Wait, I mean, as a second, fulltime truck driver? I know he’s all up Sam’s ass.” Ethan dropped the bags. “I’m screwing this all up.” He paced the length of the living room area. “I’d love to know I’m secure for next year.”

Okay, the hot and cold shit had to stop. Royce grabbed Ethan by the shoulders. “First, you need to calm down and breathe.” He inched Ethan onto the couch then took a step back. “The only one contracted for next year is Will.”

“‘Cause he’s the golden boy,” Ethan snapped.

Ah, the youth in Ethan reared its ugly head.

“No,” Royce bit out. “He’s settled down and steady.”

“He’s leading the points. Everyone wants him right now.”

Mother of all things holy, Royce would never make it back to North Carolina with Ethan at this rate. “Look, he’s got no ‘did not finishes’ this year. You’ve got two. Both your trucks this week are toast because you used them as battering rams.” Royce’s voice cracked and echoed off the walls. “You need to pull your head out of your ass and settle down or plan on not having a ride next year. Plain and simple.”

“Royce?”

“You’re only hot shit until the next wonder kid comes along. Prove why you’ve got staying power so Collin will have to keep you around.” Royce gasped for breath. Few people

worked him up to the point of yelling. Ethan had made the short list. Royce shoved both hands into his hair. “Maybe no one has ever told you no, but I will. Stop being a shit so you can do what you love.”

Ethan didn’t say anything for the longest time. He stared toward the floor and shuffled his boot-clad feet.

“Thanks,” Ethan mumbled. “Collin told me we needed to hang out more. Said you’d be able to sell my crap better if you got to know me. Sounds like you already do.”

Before Royce could respond, Ethan met his gaze and grinned. “Now, do you want to fuck?”

“You can’t be serious.” So much for the emotional breakthrough Royce had expected.

“I can be, and I am.” The grin widened. Ethan winked then headed to the back of the motor coach. “And you can’t knock a guy for trying. Now, where do we sleep while this sucker’s in motion? Ooh! Bunks. Top one’s mine.”

Royce groaned. Dear Lord, this would be a long ride.

 Now for that spank!!

He breached her hole, pushing his finger into her.

Lexa relaxed around him, allowing more of him into her bottom. Yes. Yes. Yes. He pumped his finger and then added a second one.

“Good?” Something behind her thumped, and then pain exploded on her ass cheek. More spankings.

“Thank you, Kynan. May I have another?”

“And punish my Pasha?” He spanked her again, this time harder. “I indulge you too much.” Another swat, followed by his mouth on her heated skin.

She moaned and bunched her hands. “Thank you, Kynan. May I have another?”

“One more.” He spanked her and then smoothed his fingers over her ass cheek. Kynan removed his fingers from her ass. “A nice plug…yes, you need a plug.”

“Oh, please, Kynan? Yes.” She squirmed, offering more of her bottom to him. “Thank you, Kynan,” she said before he filled her again. Lexa tensed as the chilly item invaded her ass. Glass? Hard plastic? She wasn’t sure, but really, the material didn’t matter. She loved the feel of her butt being stretched for his pleasure.

“Beautiful.”

Everyday Kinky Challenge by @MeganSlayer

This was a cool hop not long ago and I’m not entirely sure what happened to it, but I thought I’d post my snippet of a story I wrote for the challenge.

He told me to wait. I’m good at waiting, but not good at anticipating what he’ll do. My master is a good man, but he expects a lot from me. I wriggled in my seat. This morning, he filled my ass with a plug. I’m stretched good and tight. I love the feeling. My nipples have been hard all day. I want to touch myself, but he told me to wait. He also bound my cock in a cage. The gentle pressure reminds me of him stroking me. It also reminds me that he’s the one in control. Not me.

That’s where the scarf comes in. He bound me to this chair with the scarf. Do I want to run? To get away? Nope. I love this. I love our game.

So I sit here and wait for him to come home.

The Genesis of a Story

Often times, the stories I write have a kernel of truth to them. What do I mean, they have bits and pieces of my life in them. The story below was the genesis of my book, Careless Whisper. Sad part? The story below is a true story.

They boys bugged me to do this, so I will. This is a true story, which is what makes it even odder.

I went to buy a digital voice recorder to prove that ghosts exist and do talk to us. I get to the store and it’s raining, so my normally stylish coif is plastered to my head. Yeah, I was going for all-out sexy in a drowned cat fashion. Anyway, so I get to the location of the recorders, and the salesman stops me. This was our conversation. (And Kealie will vouch for me)

Salesman (Who was hot BTW): Can I get you anything?

MS: I came here for a digital voice recorder. This one. But it says the thing is on sale. Can you check?

SM: Sure. (He goes to check it on the computer.) How you doing today?

MS: I’m wet, cuz it’s raining.

SM: True. What’cha want this for?

MS: To listen to ghosts.

SM: (Shaking his head) You know ghosts don’t exist?

(At this point, the boys–when I told them–were furious, because being vampires, they know all the undead and ghosties and so forth do so exist.)

MS: (I looked him square in the eye.) Then YOU tell them that.

SM was stunned and hurriedly got his manager to assure me the price was the sale price. So we go to the register to check out. Now a person I know stops me and tells me she liked my free stories, but was Slayer my real name. Duh. Apparently, seeing my credit card, SM decided he needed to speak again — you know, dealing with the transaction.

SM: What nationality is that?

MS: I’m part Irish and part vampire, but don’t tell anyone about the Irish part. They tend to talk.

Again I got that blank stare. I dunno. Maybe he’s never heard of Irish people before.

What do you think?

Here’s a little bit about Careless Whisper

He’s her kinkiest desire, if she’s willing to open her heart and believe in him.wzcarelesswhisper

The dead don’t always rest in peace. Some stick around to make the lives of the living hell on Earth. Ryan Black knows the frustration of dealing with the dead. He’s a Ghost Explorer. He’s conquered houses filled with apparitions, abandoned school buildings that house angry vermin, and managed to woo the female population of Snake Falls, Ohio. But he’s about to face his toughest challenge, convincing sceptical Samara Jacobs she not only shares his gift, but holds his heart.

Women fall at Ryan Black’s feet and Samara’s determined not to be one of the many—that is until she’s forced to work with him. He’s certain ghosts exist and willing to prove it. The more she gets to know the man behind the television persona, she decides the handsome klutz who chases things that go bump in the night isn’t so silly after all. But is he worthy of her love?

This book contains anal sex and a little harmless domination.

Sunday Snog ~ Mixing Mike by @MeganSlayer #SundaySnog

~~

It’s Sunday Snoggin’ time and I thought I’d share a teeny bit from one of my favorite stories, Mixing Mike. Two guys who deserve to fall in love have to find the right record for the moment. Grin.

Mixing Mike by Megan Slayer1374813

Zero, Ohio, Book 3

Zero, Ohio, where the temperatures might be below freezing but you can always melt the frost with smoking hot sex.

* * *

For these two men, this record could be the soundtrack to their lives – if they’re willing to mix things up.

Meticulous and organized, air traffic controller Mike Larson has every reason to be wary of mixing his passion for music with love. When Mike’s hunt to complete his Top 100 of the ‘80s list brings him to Vintage Vinyl, a shock of guyliner, dyed hair and flamboyant personality rocks his orderly world. Can he risk a step outside his comfort zone for a chance with Leon?

Flamboyant Leon Sanders uses attitude to keep others at a distance, because he doesn’t believe in love or a lasting relationship. When he turns up the charm at his music store Vintage Vinyl, he makes the best sales. Something about the quiet man beckons Leon to give love a chance, but does he dare mix it up with Mike?

Available at: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | All Romance eBooks | Decadent

What the readers are saying:

“Watching these two flirt and find love was sizzling hot.  They have chemistry that just leaps off the pages of this book.  Pretty sure I have singed fingers now.  I like the idea that opposites really can find love and each brings what the other needs to the relationship. I pick up Ms. Slayer’s works for two reasons, she brings me stories that are original and well thought out and she always makes me fall in love and want more. I know I will be looking for more in the Zero, Ohio series in the future. Bring on the man love!” Redz World – Rated 5 shooting stars

Here’s that snog!!

“If you ever want to quit the center, I could totally use you at the store. You’re more anal than I am, and I didn’t think that was possible.”

“You don’t want me.”

Leon wasn’t sure what he meant by those words, but they still pricked at his heart. “I don’t know where you got that idea, but yeah, I do.” He placed Mike’s hand on his crotch. “If my words don’t convince you, the erection I’ve had for the last two days should.” He walked his soon-to-be lover backward to the bedroom and dropped his bag on the floor. More albums lined the walls. More pieces of Mike on display.

“I’m going to take care of you and show you how sexy you are.” He nudged Mike onto the bed. “You’re beautiful, and I want all of you.”

Time to take control—tender control. He climbed on top of his friend, kissing, touching, and learning every inch of the preppy looking man. He groaned into the kiss, sucking on the other man’s tongue. Mouth-to-mouth, chest-to-chest, and groin-to-groin, he straddled Mike. Their cocks rubbed together, despite the fabric between them. He wrapped his arms around the air traffic controller.

Leon broke the kiss first, overwhelmed by the onslaught of emotion in his heart. Lust, desire, need, and a healthy dose of craving.

“You’re easy to love,” he whispered. The thought scared him to death.

Easy to love and dangerous because Mike was quickly becoming very important to him. Leon kissed Mike once again, pinning him to the bed. He planted his knees on either side of his hips.

“I’m going to show you how easy.”
