Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback ~ Week 11 … only a little late with @MeganSlayer

d1b90-monday2bmorning2bquarterback2bposter

Yeouch… The game against the Ravens… sigh. At least we tried. Can’t say we didn’t. No interceptions, too. I’m trying to see the bright side. It’s tough.

Since it’s that time…let’s get to the funnies.

There are Honorable Mentions from last week–like always–so…here we go…

“A good working hole.”

Better than a closed one.

“a big hole.”

As opposed to a small one.

Okay, time for the Quotes of the Week. These are a real rip. Always!

“He is enormous.”

He’s popular.

 “A big gaping hole.”

Because he was there. He left his mark.

“the power and the touch in his leg is phenomenal.”

Is that what we’re calling it now? His leg? Muwhahahahaha!

“9 or 10 in that hole already.”

Pretty sure that’s not possible.

“3 tight ends in the game.”

They wanted to be sure they were well represented.

And now for the Doozy of the Week. Oh my…

This one is all kinds of wrong. Just all kinds.

“he came and pulled out quickly.”

Doesn’t mean it’s safe. But he tried.

Thanks for reading and please check out the other posts from the rest of the week.

Enjoy!

Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback ~ Week 10 … really late

d1b90-monday2bmorning2bquarterback2bposter

Oh… gracious. It’s not been a fun few weeks for the Bengals. They’ve played hard, but it isn’t showing up as wins. Boo. Keep the faith, right? Sigh.

Since it’s that time…let’s get to the funnies.

There are Honorable Mentions from last week–like always–so…here we go…

“took it deep.”

Better than a rim job…unless that’s what was wanted.

“stuffed it.”

Since it’s deep, stuffing sounds about right.

Okay, time for the Quotes of the Week. These are a real rip. Always!

“his ball…flows a bit.”

He’s a flopper.

 “he has big hands.”

And he knows how to use them.

“wants to feel the leather.”

But how? Paddle? Cat O’Nine Tails? Details, people!

“Cuts the ball in the wind.”

Better than the cheese.

And now for the Doozy of the Week. Oh my…

This one is all kinds of wrong. Just all kinds.

“He got so much penetration…wow.”

Whatever works.

Thanks for reading and please check out the other posts from the rest of the week.

Enjoy!

Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback ~ Week 10

d1b90-monday2bmorning2bquarterback2bposter

We’re part of Monday Night Football. I’m hoping we go against type and pull this one out. Honestly, they don’t do well in prime time. That doesn’t mean I don’t have faith. I do.

Go Bengals!

Since it’s that time…let’s get to the funnies.

There are Honorable Mentions from last week–like always–so…here we go…

“a good little stunt inside.”

Don’t insult the man’s junk.

“came in and loses it.”

When you’re not big, it can happen.

“inital pressure.”

Well, maybe he was good to begin with and lost it. You don’t know.

Okay, time for the Quotes of the Week. These are a real rip. Always!

“Quite a battle. I say let ’em play.”

It’s all part of the experience.

 “Devastating block.”

That’s what happens when you play. You can get burned.

“too much time in the hole.”

As long as you’ve got enough lube, there’s no such thing as too much time in the hole.

“Four tight ends in a row.”

For better selection, of course.

“One of the better stiff arms you’ll ever see.”

He said no. Deal with it.

And now for the Doozy of the Week. Oh my…

This one is all kinds of wrong. Just all kinds.

“Spread ’em out in that formation and you saw what happened.”

He gets his pick and it makes him happy. Everyone wins.

Thanks for reading and please check out the other posts from the rest of the week.

Enjoy!

Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback ~ Week 9 ~ closer to on time…

d1b90-monday2bmorning2bquarterback2bposter

We had a bye week and boy did we need it. London was fun, but it kicked out butts. Still, we’re in the hunt. Go Bengals!

Since it’s that time…let’s get to the funnies.

There are Honorable Mentions from last week–like always–so…here we go…

“high and deep.”

Sounds painful.

“gets the inside leverage.”

If he’s high and deep, then he should.

“Tight and deep…gotta field into it.”

Cooperation always helps. Keeps the strain off the lower back.

Okay, time for the Quotes of the Week. These are a real rip. Always!

“Gets off cleanly.”

He wore a rubber.

 “Forced up in the pocket.”

Ouch.

“tight little package.”

I guess that’s why it had to be forced, but ouch nonetheless.

“lined up in a traditional tight end position.”

For better selection, of course.

“Good size match up.”

Better to be good than mismatched and in pain.

And now for the Doozy of the Week. Oh my…

This one is all kinds of wrong. Just all kinds.

“Talk about a size advantage.”

But that’s what he asked for. It’s his kink.

Thanks for reading and please check out the other posts from the rest of the week.

Enjoy!

Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback ~ Week 8 ~ A little late…

d1b90-monday2bmorning2bquarterback2bposter

Hmm… a tie is better than a loss, but it’d be better if we were a .500 ball club. Oh well. Go Bengals!

Since it’s that time…let’s get to the funnies.

There are Honorable Mentions from last week–like always–so…here we go…

“Getting Penetration.”

That was the goal, so good job!

“Playing downside…inside.”

Is that another way to explain sex?

“Gang tackle.”

Ah, this is foreplay. Got it.

Okay, time for the Quotes of the Week. These are a real rip. Always!

“penetration and making plays.”

That’s the thrill of the chase.

 “release our players.”

they do tend to help the room open up that way. Good call.

“Allows him to come under.”

Unless he wanted over. Just sayin’.

“some gaping holes.”

Kinky.

And now for the Doozy of the Week. Oh my…

This one is all kinds of wrong. Just all kinds.

“After the initial release, he got back on top.”

He is a professional. He took a fall and kept going. Bravo.

Thanks for reading and please check out the other posts from the rest of the week.

Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback ~ Week 7

d1b90-monday2bmorning2bquarterback2bposter

We still stink, but the Bengals looked a whole lot better this week. They almost looked like the team they were last year. Almost. A win is still a win. I’m running with it. Since it’s that time…let’s get to the funnies.

There are Honorable Mentions from last week–like always–so…here we go…

“it doesn’t look like two.”

What does it look like then?

“they way they got stuffed on third and one…wow.”

Maybe that’s why it was hard to tell if it was two… or three.

“Able to deliver a good ball under duress.”

If it’s two on one and he’s uncomfy, then this is even more impressive. I hope he wanted the two on one.

Okay, time for the Quotes of the Week. These are a real rip. Always!

“they’ve not been able to take it home tonight.”

Maybe they didn’t want to go home?

“gave it a little shake and got it open.”

Usually it takes fingers to do that…not shaking.

“stuffing it in quickly.”

I guess that’s what to do now that it’s open.

“hit that hole hard.”

Are you sure? Or did they ask for that? Seems questionable.

“could not get it done.”

I’m thinking there’s a story here. He pushed too hard, was rebuked and that’s the end of that. What do you think?

And now for the Doozy of the Week. Oh my…

This one is all kinds of wrong. Just all kinds.

“down to the ground, back up again and he got the sack.”

He’s got persistence and someone has an impressive sack. Just sayin’.

Thanks for reading and please check out the other posts from the rest of the week.

Enjoy!

Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback ~ Week 4

d1b90-monday2bmorning2bquarterback2bposter

Thank you Jesus, the Bengals managed to bounce back against the Dolphins and win. I wasn’t sure they’d pull it out. Honestly, a few more touchdowns would be nice, too.

There are Honorable Mentions from last week–like always–so…here we go…

“He’s had a lot of batted down balls.”

Well, he’s trying to find a set he likes.

“Stick that long arm up and reject it.”

It might not be so bad. Don’t have to reject right away.

“Can’t get over the ball distribution.”

There are balls all over the place! Ball party!

Okay, time for the Quotes of the Week. These are a real rip. Always!

“Ball coming out very quickly.”

He’s enthusiastic.

 “Physical North-South finisher.”

As opposed to being a East-West one.

“Why would you allow him to be blasted?”

Because maybe he’s into that kind of thing.

“those two are big and usually stay inside.”

At the same time? Kinky.

“Cut up inside and protect yourself.”

I’m not sure how that works. Sounds messy.

And now for the Doozy of the Week. Oh my…

This one is all kinds of wrong. Just all kinds.

“He’s big and fast and can use his hands.”

Multi-Talented. Nice. He’s a winner.

Thanks for reading and please check out the other posts from the rest of the week.

Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback ~ Week 3

d1b90-monday2bmorning2bquarterback2bposter

The Bengals bungled it against the Broncos, but it happens. It’s also part of being a Bengals fan. We either do really well… or we stink. At least it wasn’t a total drubbing. To cheer me up, let’s get to the funnies.

There are Honorable Mentions from last week–like always–so…here we go…

“A large man.”

He’s been working out. Nice.

“Two of the nightmares.”

If he’s a big dude, then he  might be a nightmare.

“He’s got good blocking out front.”

He’s a big dude–he should have good blocking.

Okay, time for the Quotes of the Week. These are a real rip. Always!

“Swing it out to them.”

Being big, he should swing.

 “A very talented receiver.”

Better than be a slouch at the job.

“Opening a big hole there.”

That’s the talent.

“Big mitts on it”

He wants to make sure his lover feels him back there.

“He picks the right holes.”

Because the wrong ones will leave lasting consequences.

And now for the Doozy of the Week. Oh my…

This one is all kinds of wrong. Just all kinds.

“Very powerful plunging it in up the middle.”

It’s not the length, it’s the powerful plunging. Gotcha.

Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback ~ Week 2

d1b90-monday2bmorning2bquarterback2bposter

I’m late on this week’s post because I was in the hospital. I’m better now, but I felt like I’d been run over by a truck, so posting was the last thing on my mind. But to make the time pass, I did watch my football. Unfortunately, my Bengals made me cry, but it happens. Now onto something better. 🙂

There are Honorable Mentions from last week–like always–so…here we go…

“Gets a little angle….with the big hole…beautifully done.”

He knows what he wants.

“He’s a devastating weapon.”

He’s also got legs and he knows how to use ’em.

Okay, time for the Quotes of the Week. These are a real rip. Always!

“Watch his release point. Amazing.”

So focused!

 “Very creative stuff tonight.”

Well, yeah. He’s got his release point working for him.

And now for the Doozy of the Week. Oh my…

This one is all kinds of wrong. Just all kinds.

“He’s the little receiver.”

Okay…small but mighty. Nice.

Thanks for reading and please check out the other posts from the rest of the week.

Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback ~ Week 1

d1b90-monday2bmorning2bquarterback2bposter

Monday morning and it’s time to talk football. Yay!! Football is back! I’m stoked. I’m also full of quotes. Life is good.

There are Honorable Mentions from last week–like always–so…here we go…

“Very athletic.”

He’s been working out. Nice.

“Keep on pounding ’em.”

If he’s athletic, then it won’t be a problem.

“250 pound back who found a way to knife it in.”

Because he’s athletic.

“A much more stout front.”

Nice. He’s athletic and stout and he gets the job done.

Okay, time for the Quotes of the Week. These are a real rip. Always!

“Big bodies with lots of strength.”

And all of those muscles!

“That’s where their power and expertise are–in the double team”

It’s also why they get paid the most.

“Gets a little angle…with the big hole…beautifully done.”

That’s the double team at work.

“Watch his release point.”

He gets some major distance.

“Very creative stuff tonight.”

He went for girth and distance. They don’t call him creative for nothing.

And now for the Doozy of the Week. Oh my…

This one is all kinds of wrong. Just all kinds.

“He’s not a huge guy–but he’s accurate.”

See? He’s so great with that creativity. He gets the job done.

Thanks for reading and please check out the other posts from the rest of the week.
