So a profession from a book that I’d like to try… I’m going to go paranormal on this one. Why? My skills as a barber (as demonstrated by the pandemic) aren’t great, so that’s out. I can color my own hair, so that’s the extent of me being a hairdresser. I can sew, but I don’t like sitting there that long. My chef skills leave a little to be desired. I can make a mean mac n cheese from scratch (Don’t ask about the heavy cream in it), or pizza and I’m not so bad at chicken avocado bacon sandwiches, but one can’t live on those three things alone. I could do design work, but meh, and I can write, but that’s not very attractive (when you’re in pj pants and a sweatshirt, I’m told it’s not sexy. Shrugs). I’d be game to be a cat wrangler or dog wrangler. I’ve done that and rather enjoyed it.

But if I had the chance to try a paranormal profession, I’d like to try being a seer. I’d love to pop into someone else’s body and see what’s going on and to be able to see the future.

I’d like to try being a witch in that I’d love to be able to use magic. I’d probably end up being a Mad Madame Mim kind of witch or wizard, but that’s okay. Mim had fun.

Since we’re here and it’s closing in on Christmas, why not try my Christmas novella, Christmas in Cedarwood?

Christmas in Cedarwood by Megan Slayer

Cedarwood Pride, book 12

Contemporary LGBTQ Romance

From Pride Publishing

M/M, Anal Sex, Masturbation

Two men, one kid and the frayed nerves that come with the holidays…can they make it through to Christmas without a blow-up?

Colt Harrison knew when he met Ashley Willis that he’d found the one man for him. He loves Ashley’s son, Wyatt, as if he were his own son. But the stress of living together, compounded with buying a home and adopting pets has worn him down…not to mention the aggravation that comes with the diner he owns. He wants to make Christmas special for his family, but how can they have a great holiday when Colt’s never home?

Ashley’s got a two-week vacation from his job at the elementary school teaching art. All he wants is time with Colt and Wyatt. He loves Colt, but not the long hours spent at the diner, especially around the holidays. Can he be honest about what he wants from Colt and keep the man he loves?

Anything is possible if they embrace the magic of Christmas.

Reader advisory: This book was previously released elsewhere. It has been expanded and reedited for release with Pride Publishing.

  1. Oh, all that shapechanging! I wouldn’t even need to see the future. I could learn all kinds of things just by turning into different animals. And if I could go around putting the Evil Eye on people who don’t wear their masks? Bonus!

    My answer is here.
