Check out the other posts right here:

This week the topic is favorite comfort foods and recipes. Oh and why. Oh boy. This is tough. I like to eat. Don’t get me wrong. I like to eat. But making stuff? It’s not my forte. Really. I burn water. Like really.

So first, my comfort foods… Beef and noodles. It’s simple. It’s beef roast (usually the prepacked microwavable beef) and noodles. I prefer homemade noodles, but I don’t know how to make them, so that’s a few and far between thing. As for the beef, I can make a beef roast. It usually involves the crock pot. Pop in the water at seven am and let go on high until 4 or 5 pm. I know. It’s not complicated.

Another comfort food has to be chocolate from SuzinL. It’s a local company and I love their chocolate. How is it made? I have no idea. How do I make it? Purchase chocolate, peel wrapper off, enjoy. Boom.

I’m not that exciting when it comes to food. I know. I’m not good at making it, either. I should take a cooking class or something. I was never taught to cook, so I’ve sustained myself on a lot of Spaghetti-Os. Don’t judge.

What about you? What are your favorite comfort foods? Let me know.

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the posts and comment. 🙂

  1. My grandmother makes a beef and noodles dish that’s quite similar to yours. She mixes in a can of mushroom soup to it. Your version sounds delicious.

I love food in general. It’s something I could talk about all day.

    My post

    • I agree the ones in the freezer are easier. That said, DH makes fabulous noodles, so if I can get him to make extra when he makes them and pop those into the freezer…SCORE! 🙂 Thanks for the tip!

  2. Chocolate choices seem to be popular.
Crock pots are wonderful. I’m not much into cooking either. I can, but I don’t feel like doing it. Beef gets really tender in a crock pot.

  3. yeah … I had the pasta maker for my Kitchen Aid mixer and never, ever even opened the package. Homemade noodles are great in theory, but it’s so much easier to open a package, lol! And you can never go wrong with chocolate…

    • DH has the good old crank one and uses that. But the kitchen aid mixer attachment that makes the spaghetti…that makes spaghetti that is SOOOO much better than a bag.
