Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback ~ Week 16 ~ It’s Nearly Over…

Kind of glad this is the last week. It’s been painful to be a Bengals fan, although this week wasn’t as bad. Hey, we did beat the Ravens. But… Between lots of penalties (Adam Jones, how about less arguing in the trash can and better performance on the field), injuries (can we have Tyler Eifert and AJ Green back now for the entire year? Sigh.), the line not holding (how about a little less Andy Dalton on his rump and more blocking?), needing those danged PATs and Field Goals to go BETWEEN the uprights (sorry Nugent. I love you and even named a character’s dog after you because I like you, but you’ve got a job to do. You have to do it.), and trading away good players (Sanu comes to mind.)… it’s not been much fun. But I have faith. Next year, baby.

I gotta have something to believe in.

How about we move right on to something that’s comical, instead of depressing?

Yes, let’s move forward to the funnies.

There are Honorable Mentions from last week–like always–so…here we go…

“Slow year with the sack.”

It was worn out and needed time to recover.

“the tight end right in there.”

Where else do you want him?

Okay, time for the Quotes of the Week. These are a real rip. Always!

“He is ripping the cowboys.”

That’s not very nice.

“They’ve been gashed.”

“They’ve faced adversity and not given up.”

No one wants to give up, especially when the next time might be the right one!

“Great job spreading the ball around.”

Better than in a rush, right?

And now for the Doozy of the Week. Oh my…

This one is all kinds of wrong. Just all kinds.

“Spread out to his right.”

Because it just wouldn’t work on the left.

Thanks for reading and please check out the other posts from the rest of the week.
