Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback ~ Week 18 AKA Week 1 of the Post Season

The song remains the same…the Bengals blew it in prime time. I’m not going to dissect the game, but I do have issues with it. Oh well. There’s always next year.

*Note to Andy Dalton – don’t try to make tackles. It’s not a good outcome.

*Note to Vontaze Burfict – we love your passion, but keep your head about you. Use that passion on the field, not the other players.

*Note to Marvin Lewis – I haven’t given up faith on you or the Bengals. It will happen. I feel it.

*Note to opposing team coaches – please stay off the field and keep your hands to yourself. I understand you’re caught up in the game, but you’re not doing anyone any favors by getting on the field, by hair pulling or acting out. Same goes for the Bengal coaches.

Okay, so now that I’ve gotten those notes off my chest…here are the Honorable Mention quotes – because that’s what we’re here for and they’re funny.

“They spread it out.”

Don’t want to come too early and not have enough for later.

“Bangs it through.”

He’s making sure he makes the play.

“Second leading receiver.”

When the first just isn’t good enough…go for the second.

“Gonna sneak it in.”

Because that’s how we roll! But remember to play responsibly.

Now onto those Quotes of the Week. The post season already started, so there aren’t many weeks left. Use ’em while we’ve got ’em!

“One hand under and sorta pancake it.”

Hmm…unless that’s the preferred method, I’m not sure this will work.

“Trying to squeeze it in.”

Maybe after the pancaking, that’s how they plan to do the squeezing. Or someone gets off on the pain… Who knows.

“big bodied receivers.”

Better than three on one in the slot–unless that’s what’s prefered.

“I didn’t think that ball was out yet.”

If he’s been pancaked, squeezed and the big bodies involved, then I’d assume it’s out.

Now for the Doozy of the Week. Woooweee….

“Deep and hard inside.”

If you’re going to go for it, then deep and hard is the best way to be inside.

Thanks for reading and checking out my thoughts on the games. I’ve got release news and cover art to post this week, so stay tuned!!
